Noticing how we feel in this moment gives us the information necessary to take the best action for self-care. This noticing is especially helpful as the body ages. This workshop will provide information on observational methods for self-practice and observation of others. Skills practice will focus on observing movement patterns, breathing feedback, and non-verbal cues.
This workshop will include a combination of lecture and active practice. Additional resources will be provided to participants. This class will be led by Dr. Kim Allen, a certified 500-hour teacher and 500-hour yoga therapist through the American Viniyoga Institute. Kim has her doctorate in Health Education and has been teaching yoga since 1996 to a wide range of specialty populations.
This workshop will meet Saturday, May 8 from 12noon to 5:00pm and Sunday, May 9 from 11:00am to 4:00pm.
