Not all yoga poses need to be achieved at 100% effort. Our bodies are changing every day and thus require different things. Adaptation refers to ways of adjusting traditional yoga postures to meet the body’s specific needs, raging from less to more intense. Understanding how and when to adapt increases awareness of movement, help develop more functional movement patterns, and improves overall body functioning.
During this 2 hour training you will learn the thinking process used to appropriately adapt poses. This workshop will include some lecture and lots of practice. Bring your ideas of favorite poses to be adapted or specific conditions that would require special adaptations!
