The conscious order of components within a yoga practice is essential to designing a safe and effective program. This workshop is designed for yoga teachers and practitioners interested in creating yoga practices designed to best meet a set intention while adapting to the specific needs of the practitioner. Practices will include understanding how to build stability, pose preparation/compensation, and designing safe practices. This workshop will also include practice of observational methods such as observing movement patterns, breathing feedback, and non-verbal cues. Participants will receive handout materials to support workshop topics. Participants are encouraged to bring note-taking materials, a practice mat, and wear comfortable clothing for movement. Class will include some lecture, discussion, and guided practice (including movement, breathing, and meditation). Yoga Alliance CEUs will be available for participation in this training.
