A sister science of Yoga is Ayurveda – a holistic science of cultivating health through diet and lifestyle. In this workshop you will learn about how food is used in this health perspective and specific recommendations to support a balanced dosha. The focus on Sunday is to identify your specific imbalances and what Ayurvedic tools might be most helpful for you. The workshop will include some lecture, group discussion, and a guided yoga practice. Participants will receive additional resources and handouts to support the information shared.
This class will be led by Dr. Kim Allen, a certified 500-hour teacher and 500-hour yoga therapist through the American Viniyoga Institute. Kim has her doctorate in Health Education and has been teaching yoga since 1996 to a wide range of specialty populations.
